Subaru is preparing a STi version of BRZ, which could debut in 2013, according to Auto Express. Subaru BRZ STi develops 230 hp and comes with more powerful brakes and a stiffer suspension.
STi version of the BRZ could be the most powerful Japanese coupe for the current generation. The real changes are to the chassis, suspension and braking system. To get 230 hp from the BRZ's engine, Subaru have added a sports exhaust system and a new distribution system and a variable valve control system.
To complement the upgrades, Subaru will improuve the springs and dampers, and fitting 18-inch alloys with wider, grippier tires and four-piston STi brakes.
