Ford unveiled the new Tourneo Connect, which will elevate the Tourneo brand's design, spaciousness, and adaptability.
With a pleasant and highly versatile interior, a full seven-seater capacity, and two adjustable vehicle lengths to meet all demands, the new Tourneo Connect is the correct answer for busy lifestyles. It is ideal for anything from hauling camping and sports equipment, serving as a valuable companion for small companies.
The intelligent, connected cab incorporates cutting-edge digital technology, while a comprehensive, smart driver aid system contributes to the new Tourneo Connect's comfort and ease of operation. New features include stress-reduction aided driving and Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which simplifies towing movements.
A confidence-boosting system for four-wheel drive and automatic gearbox for petrol-powered versions are also new to Ford Tourneo Connect, as part of a vast choice of new petrol and diesel powertrains intended to deliver class-leading economy.
The new Ford Tourneo Connect has seven seats on both the L1 and L2 wheelbase versions, making it more practical and comfortable. The second and third row of seats may be folded or removed when not in use to offer a large cargo area for work or sporting equipment. In addition, the front passenger seat folds flat for transporting items up to 3 meters long, such as kayaks, furniture, or wood.
The redesigned cabin improves comfort without compromising the functionality that Tourneo Connect customers like. Large sliding side doors on each side of the car assist youngsters and older passengers in entering and exiting places where traditional doors may not be able to open completely. Plenty of cup holders and charging outlets add to the comfort, while the panoramic glass roof and two-zone temperature control keep the car airy and pleasant on long travels. Customers in the Trend, Titanium, and Active lines may additionally select ergonomic seats with enlarged leg-rests. Tourneo Connect's carefully chosen materials and surfaces give a comfortable feeling across the whole model range, with distinct finishes for each model in the series.
The new Ford Tourneo Connect has a load volume of up to 3.1 m3 in L2 models and 2.6 m3 in L1 models when the second and third rows are removed. In addition, maximum load lengths of 2,265 mm behind the first row of seats, 1,452 mm behind the second, and 629 mm behind the third for the L2 versions make loading longer products or recreational equipment easier (1,913 mm, 1100 mm, and 317 mm for the L1 variants).
The new Tourneo Connect has the solid and expressive design language of Ford's most recent passenger vehicles. The front has been created with bold, sculpted lines to produce a sporty appearance, with each model having its style.
Ford's SUV-inspired Active model combines rugged styling with luxury amenities. The Active Series' distinctive grille, a metallic effect plate, and extra bodies surrounding the wheel arches, sills, and bumpers are all featured on the unique 17-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone finish and machined metal. In addition, exclusive wheel design and finishing elements add to the range's distinction and provide consumers with a choice of models that best fit their lifestyle.
A big, user-friendly touch screen on the dashboard of all Tourneo Connect models puts critical vehicle functions at the driver's fingertips. The touch screen controls navigation, sound, and cabin climate, but additional tasks like a phone connection, car information, and sound setting are arranged in submenus while driving.
Customers may also choose a sophisticated digital cluster display rather than conventional dials, standard on the Sport model and optional on the Titanium and Active versions. The digital cluster in the dashboard features a 10.25-inch screen that works in combination with the central entertainment system to provide drivers with additional information and control. For example, the display displays vehicle warnings, speed restrictions, and current gear at the top of the screen for easy viewing.
Tourneo Connect provides 19 driver assistance technologies to make traveling more comfortable, less stressful, and safer. The generous standard specification covers the following items: Lane-Keeping system, Driver Alert system, Cruise control, Hill Start Assist, Parking sensors.
Package solutions for driver assistance are included in the new Tourneo Connect. For example, the Parking Pack includes Active Park Assist with Park Out Assist, which can detect and automatically steer into and out of perpendicular and parallel parking spots; simultaneously, the driver controls the acceleration, brake, and gear selection. The Towing Assist Pack includes the new Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature, which helps minimize or decrease the risks when reversing with a trailer. The technology allows inexperienced drivers to manage with confidence by controlling the direction of the car and trailer with the door mirror adjustment knob rather than the steering wheel. In addition, the Tourneo Connect's rearview camera and sensors detect the trailer's perimeter and show on-screen recommendations to help the driver.
The new Tourneo Connect's complete driveline for petrol and diesel engines wants to deliver class-leading economy, with fuel consumption starting at 4.9 l/100 km and CO2 emissions starting at 127 g/km. In addition to providing four-wheel drive for the first time in a model, the driveline now has an automatic gearbox option for both petrol and diesel engines, which are available in all versions.
A 1.5-liter EcoBoost petrol engine with 114 hp and 220 Nm of torque and two EcoBlue diesel with 122 hp and 320 Nm of torque or 112 hp and 280 Nm of torque are among the four-cylinder turbocharged engines available.
Customers may now take advantage of four-wheel drive on the Tourneo Connect for the first time, providing an improved grip on loose and slippery roads and safer driving. The four-wheel drive is available with a 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine with 122 hp and a six-speed manual gearbox. @via Ford.
