It always happens. You need to wrap a gift and there is no gift wrap in the house. What do you do? Unless you need heavy-duty vehicle wraps Merriam KS, you already have what you need around the house. It is just a matter of a little imagination.
Scrap Fabric
Whether from a past home improvement project or an attempt at handmade fashion, somewhere around the house, you have some scrap fabric. Instead of using paper, cut the fabric to size and use it to cover your present. If you don't have leftover fabric, repurpose any old cloth items like sheets, drapes or tablecloths. Add some twine, a hair ribbon or even rope, and you not only have a unique way to cover your gift, but you have one less thing taking up room in your cabinets.
Scarves
Somewhere in your closet, you have that scarf that was so beautiful, you just couldn't pass it up even though you never wear scarves. Now, years later, it sits unused in pristine condition in your closet. Why not put it to good use as a gift wrap? Simply place the gift in the middle and fold the scarf in from the corners like an envelope. Secure with ribbons or, if it is big enough, tie the ends.
Magazines
Despite the proliferation of digital media, most of us still like to read print versions of magazines. Tape a bunch of pages together and create a collage as your gift wrap. It is colorful, and no two will ever be precisely the same. If you want to be even more creative, look for similar themes in the pages you use like colors, images or subjects.
Take a look around your house for inspiration. With a little ingenuity and a desire to clean out your jumbled closets, you can kill two birds with one stone.
