Texas Travel Tips

The Lone Star State is just as diverse as it is vast. With over 268,000 square miles to explore, there is certainly no shortage of cities to see and countryside to experience. Looking for some top places to see and tips on how to get there? Here's a shortlist of favorites.

Galveston Island

Galveston offers an island getaway off the Gulf coast. From the State Park to the unique Moody Gardens educational amusement park, you won't get bored with this beachy town. If you want to venture to the sea, the Port of Galveston is perfect. Several cruise lines ship out from here, so you can set sail with ease. You can plan to stay on Galveston, or in Houston. Simply book a Houston to Galveston shuttle bus and you are ready to jet.

Hill Country and Wineries

Tall, rugged hills make this part of Texas quite the sight to behold. You may not even believe you're in Texas anymore, but the hospitality and countryside filled with wineries will make you happy you came. Enjoy golf, spas, dining, and of course the wine. You can pick a couple of locations and drive yourself around at your leisure, or book a tour and enjoy a day of being chauffeured from one glass of wine to the next.

Head to the Mountains

From beaches to mountains, Texas has it all. In fact, the Guadalupe Mountains National Park is home to three separate ecosystems. There is a world of wonder to take in at this park, and though there aren't official tours provided, it's well worth taking the time to plan a trip.

Texas is rich with history, culture, and nature as well. You can immerse yourself in various cultures, find amazing food, and then step back to get a taste of the wild and restore yourself. Whatever adventure you choose, you are sure to have a great time.
