With the Skoda Enyaq RS iV, a second pure battery model expands the sporty RS range of the Volkswagen subsidiary. Like the Skoda Enyaq Coupé RS iV, the Skoda Enyaq RS iV electric SUV has an all-wheel-drive system and two electric motors with 220 kW/299 hp. This makes the two Skoda RS versions of the Enyaq iV family the most powerful vehicle in the Skoda portfolio.
The Skoda Enyaq iV models are based on the Volkswagen Group's modular electrification kit (MEB) and roll off the assembly line at the Skoda main plant in Mladá Boleslav. The Skoda Enyaq iV and Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV are the only MEB models manufactured outside Germany.
The Skoda Enyaq RS iV electric SUV is characterized by a more dynamic appearance with sports suspension, large wheels with a diameter of 20 or 21 inches, and characteristic RS features. The top speed is 180 km/h, like the coupé variant, 20 km/h higher than the other models in the series. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.5 seconds.
The 82 kWh battery, high energy efficiency according to the manufacturer, and the drag coefficient of cd 0.265 enable a maximum range of over 500 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. A maximum of 135 kW of electricity can be drawn from public DC fast charging stations. This allows the lithium-ion high-voltage battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 36 minutes.
In addition to a sporty appearance and high driving dynamics, the new Skoda Enyaq RS iV offers generous space for up to five people. The SUV is 4653 millimeters long, 1879 millimeters wide, and 1605 millimeters high. At 585 liters, the luggage compartment volume is 15 liters larger than in the Skoda Enyaq Coupé RS iV and can be extended to up to 1710 liters by folding down the rear seat backrests.
Inside there is also a central display with a screen diagonal of 13 inches. The displays can be personalized, and the operations are carried out using the touch function, including touch sliders, multi-touch gestures, gesture control, or with the help of a digital language assistant. A 5.3-inch Digital Cockpit displays information on speed, driving data, navigation, and assistance systems in four different ways. The data displayed is selected via the multifunction steering wheel, as is the operation of various vehicle functions and assistance systems.
Skoda still needs to give a date for the market launch of the Skoda Enyaq RS iV. The Czechs are also keeping a low profile when it comes to prices. The Skoda Enyaq Coupé RS iV is available for 61,500 euros.
