The Alfa Romeo Tonale reflects the traditional brand's transformation. Alfa Romeo has used Alessandro Volta's revolutionary method, which established the groundwork for electric mobility. With the introduction of the new Alfa Romeo Tonale, the brand has undergone a fundamental transformation and entered a technological era.

The Tonale Hybrid SUV is the most technologically advanced Alfa Romeo because of its onboard electronics and connections. As a result, the new SUV reinterprets sportiness in a 21st-century manner by combining quality, attention to detail, and high dynamics.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid is the brand's first electric vehicle while remaining faithful to the brand's DNA, which is rooted in Italian sportiness. The basis of this strategy is a hybrid drive system that was created specifically to suit Alfa Romeo's high standards.

The new Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid includes a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a variable-geometry turbocharger that produces 118 kW (160 hp). The gasoline engine is paired with a 48-volt electric motor in a P2 arrangement that generates a nominal 15 kW and 55 Newton-meters of torque. With a gear ratio of 2.5:1, the actual torque is around 135 Nm.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and reaches a peak speed of 210 km/h when equipped with a seven-speed Alfa Romeo TCT dual-clutch gearbox. Furthermore, the P2 drive system separates the gasoline engine and electric motor. Thus, the new Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid may also run only on electricity.

Combined with a 48-volt electric motor and dual-clutch gearbox, the engine-side alternative is a 96 kW (130 hp) version of the turbo petrol engine. With this engine, the 0-to-100-meter sprint time is 9.9 seconds. This Alfa Romeo Tonale can reach speeds of 195 kilometers per hour.

The new Alfa Romeo Tonale hybrid is the world's first automobile to have Non-Fungible Token technology. This word refers to a digital certificate that cannot be replicated. Alfa Romeo is the first automotive manufacturer to install an NFT in a production vehicle. This system is based on the blockchain idea and immutably records the most critical stages of a vehicle's life. This unique element exemplifies Alfa Romeo's commitment to innovation.

With the owner's permission, the NFT logs vital vehicle information and generates a certificate that may be used as evidence, for instance, that the car has been properly serviced. This documentation will have a favorable influence, for example, on the residual value. NFT certification provides an additional degree of assurance on the market for pre-owned vehicles that sellers or dealers, and purchasers may rely on.

Alfa Romeo employs software and connectivity to improve the driving experience, which is the company's primary focus. The brand-new Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid is outfitted with cutting-edge technology to provide a connected and pleasant driving experience. With an Android-based operating system and 4G connectivity, it can get over-the-air (OTA) upgrades. This ensures that information, features, and services remain current.

With a multitasking user interface, the infotainment system comprises a 12.3-inch screen and a 10.25-inch touchscreen (31.2 or 26.0 cm screen diagonal). All features are under the driver's control, thanks to smartphone-like controls.

Included among the new features of the Alfa Romeo Tonale is the Amazon Alexa speech assistant. For instance, the system reacts to orders like "Find the closest gas station," "Play my road trip music," and "Call Mom." In addition to playing music and audiobooks, providing directions and traffic updates, and allowing you to operate smart home devices, Amazon Alexa can also play music and audiobooks.

With the "MyAlfa" application, Alexa requests car status information, such as the fuel level or current position. Alexa may also be used to identify locations of interest, add items to a shopping list, or locate a local restaurant.

The new Alfa Romeo is equipped with advanced electronic driver assistance systems that enable level 2 autonomous driving. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) ensure maximum safety without sacrificing driving pleasure.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale enables Level 2 Autonomous Driving through the combination of Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) and Advanced Lane Centering (LC) systems and a front-facing camera.

The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control uses additional functions: Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Control to automatically adjust the speed and maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front.

The system also alerts the driver to a potential speed limit. The cruise control settings are automatically adjusted if the driver accepts the warning. In addition, advanced Lane Keeping Assist controls the vehicle's sideways movement to keep it in the middle of the lane even in heavy traffic.
