Honda Micro Commuter quadricycle

Honda Micro Commuter

Honda released the first official images of Micro Commuter, an electric motorized individual transportation vehicle coming to fight with Renault Twizy, its main rival. Both models are classified in the European category L7 (quadricycles) and are designed for individuals driving through crowded cities.

Unlike the Renault Twizy, which can fit a passenger behind the driver's seat, Honda Micro Commuter is exhibited to the public with three seats: the dedicated driver and two children. By 2.5 meters long, 1.25 meters wide and 1.45 meters tall, Honda relies on an electric motor placed at the rear. This leads Honda Micro Commuter to a speed of 50 miles per hour, while autonomy announced by the manufacturer is 60-mile with a "full" charged battery.

Very exciting is the fact that Honda Micro Commuter is developed on a modular platform that allows for alternative versions of the body. Also, Honda Micro Commuter can be used as a supply of energy that can power a house and has the capacity to recharge its batteries from different electric or plug-in hybrid made by Honda.
