New York Car Shoppers Can Test Drive 1,000+ Vehicles on One Block

New York Car Shoppers Can Test Drive 1,000+ Vehicles on One Block

Shopping for a car in New York City usually means losing a weekend to traffic. You drive to Queens for the RAV4, cross back for the CR-V, then discover the Tucson you wanted is at a store in another borough that closes in forty minutes. Two days later you’ve made three test drives and still can’t compare them, because you drove each one a week apart on a different road.

There is a shortcut that most out-of-state shoppers don’t know about: in Brooklyn, an entire multi-brand dealership group sits on a single block of Nostrand Avenue. Plaza Auto Mall in NYC keeps more than 1,000 vehicles in one place, which changes how you shop.

Five brands, back to back, on the same roads

Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and Acura are all here, which means the compact-SUV comparison everyone struggles with finally happens the right way — same afternoon, same potholes, same Belt Parkway merge. Drive the RAV4, walk across the block, drive the Sportage, then the Tucson. Your impressions stay fresh instead of getting blurred by a week of memory.

Used and CPO inventory that isn’t limited to one badge

The used side isn’t brand-restricted. You’ll find multi-brand pre-owned inventory alongside Certified Pre-Owned vehicles from each of the five franchises, so a shopper with a $22,000 budget can look at a CPO Camry and a used Mazda6 without driving anywhere else. Free CARFAX reports come standard on used and CPO vehicles, so you can rule cars out before you ever sit in them.

The stuff that matters after you sign

This is the part that quietly separates a dealer group from a car lot. On-site EV charging means an electric or plug-in hybrid test drive is a real drive, not a nervous loop. Factory-trained service and genuine OEM parts departments cover all five brands. There’s a body shop on the block too — useful in a city where street parking eventually takes its toll on every bumper.

Trading in without the two-visit dance

Same-day trade-in appraisals and cash offers mean you can find out what your current car is worth on the same visit you’re shopping — and take the cash offer even if you don’t buy anything. The group has been family-owned since 1975, and a few of its policies reflect that: you can get pre-approved for financing without handing over a Social Security number or date of birth, and delivery is free within 25 miles — which covers all five boroughs, a big chunk of Nassau County, and parts of northern New Jersey.

Plan the visit like a road test

Book two or three appointments across brands for the same window and tell each salesperson you’re cross-shopping. Drive the same route every time. Bring your registration and payoff information if you’re trading. Budget three hours; you’ll need less, but you won’t feel rushed into a decision.

For New York shoppers, that beats a month of borough-hopping.
