Renault Kardian: The Compact SUV That Will Revolutionize the International Markets

Renault Kardian

Renault, the French automaker, has recently unveiled its latest innovation: the Renault Kardian, a compact, modern, and tech-focused SUV that is set to conquer the international markets. The launch of Kardian marks another step in the Renaulution strategic plan – the start of the “Renovation” phase in Renault’s international markets.

What is Renault Kardian?

Renault Kardian is a new SUV that combines the best of Renault’s design, technology, and performance. It is based on the CMF-B platform, which is shared with other Renault models, such as Renault Clio and Renault Arkana. Kardian has a sleek and dynamic exterior with a distinctive front grille, LED headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also has a spacious, comfortable interior with a digital dashboard, a 9.3-inch touchscreen, and a wireless charging pad.

Design and Technology

Renault Kardian is equipped with a range of advanced features that make it a smart and safe vehicle. It has a 360-degree camera, blind spot warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking system. It also has an EASY LINK multimedia system, which allows the driver to access various functions such as navigation, music, phone calls, and online services through voice commands or touch gestures.

Performance and Efficiency

Renault Kardian is powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 130 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. It has a dual-clutch automatic transmission that offers smooth and responsive driving. It also has an ECO mode that reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 12%. Renault Kardian has a fuel efficiency of 5.8 liters per 100 km (40.5 mpg) and a CO2 emission of 132 grams per km.

Why is Renault Kardian Important?

Renault Kardian is not just another SUV in the market. It is a strategic product that reflects Renault’s vision and ambition for the future. Renault Kardian is designed to meet the needs and expectations of customers in various regions around the world, especially in emerging markets such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia.

Renaulution Strategic Plan

Renault Kardian is part of the Renaulution strategic plan, which aims to transform Renault from a volume-driven company to a value-driven company. The plan consists of three phases: Resurrection, Renovation, and Revolution. The Resurrection phase focuses on restoring profitability and cash flow by reducing costs and increasing efficiency. The Renovation phase focuses on renewing and expanding the product portfolio by launching new models and segments. The Revolution phase creates new value streams by leveraging electrification, connectivity, mobility services, and data.

International Markets Expansion

Renault Kardian is one of the first products to be launched in the Renovation phase in Renault’s international markets. It is expected to boost Renault’s sales and market share in these regions, where SUVs are in high demand. According to Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group:

“With Renault Kardian, we are opening a new chapter for our brand outside Europe: it will be our flagship product in many countries worldwide, where it will embody our new identity: modernity with character.”

How to Get Renault Kardian?

Renault Kardian will be available for sale in various countries starting from October 2023. The price will vary depending on the market and the configuration. In France, for example, the price will start from $23,000 for the entry-level version and go up to $29,000 for the top-of-the-range version.
