A clandestine factory of luxury cars has been discovered and closed by the Brazilian police. Here were assembled counterfeits of Ferrari and Lamborghini models that were then sold on the internet at a price and 7 times smaller than the originals.
A fake Ferrari was sold with 43,000 euros, with an original costing about 350,000 euros. The price difference attracted the attention of a law firm in Italy who reported to the Brazilian police. Following the fallout, law enforcement officials caught the false builders in fact. They were in the process of assembling eight more replicas of luxury cars, and other parts were found in the warehouse.
