Historic moment for Honda, which reached a milestone: one million hybrid vehicles sold. This record comes after 13 years from the Honda's first hybrid, the Honda Insight. The record was achieved at the end of September.
November 1999, the Japanese launched the new Honda Insight hybrid which was able to offer incredible fuel consumption, considered the lowest in the world, at that time. From then until now, Honda has expanded its use of hybrid cars.In present the Japanese sell 8 hybrid models on 50 markets.
In the far future, the Japanese manufacturer promises to obtain a record of consumption in the entire IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) hybrids and develop new alternative propulsion solutions.
In the near future, Honda promises a sporty hybrid, with three engines, which was already named SH-AWD (Super-Handling All Wheel Drive) and will equip the next version of the NSX supercar.
