With over 260,000 cars sold since its market debut in 2018, Citroen's C5 Aircross has earned a name for itself in the small SUV class because of its innovative design, versatility, and, above all, unrivaled comfort in the segment, and is a vital element of the company's sales offensive. And the new Citroen C5 Aircross SUV features an even more expressive appearance, increased comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
The Citroen C5 Aircross, which is visually bigger and more sophisticated, offers a new design language in which curving curves give way to more rigid lines. The front-end styling has been updated and is now more vertical and contemporary. The clean lines and vertical planes serve to expand the C5 Aircross's front portion visibly. The new C5 Aircross has a fresh rendition of the company emblem, which is now coated in black paint with a chrome edge.
"The C5 Aircross, which has long been regarded as the most comfortable and versatile SUV in its class, has been revamped to be even more representative, contemporary, and energetic." "It builds on its qualities of comfort, spaciousness, and versatility, while also becoming more attractive and dynamic, with a sharper external design and more modern, high-quality colors and materials for the inside," says Pierre-Yves Couineau, Product Manager for the Citroen C5 Aircross.
The V-shaped LED signature of the daytime running lights in the shape of piano keys, which gives the headlights a futuristic 3D look and visually extends the black radiator grille, is a feature of the new Citroen design language. The logo and the V-shaped light signature are highlighted at the lower edge of the radiator grille by a black lacquered strip. The revised air intake style below the radiator grille visibly expands the front of the Citroen C5 Aircross and gives it a dynamic aspect on the road. In addition, the two vertical side air inlets, now open and operational, contribute to better aerodynamics.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross SUV features a new three-dimensional LED light signature and reworked rear lights. In addition, the housing's design has been altered to increase aerodynamics. The light unit is now furnished with dark, textured glass that accentuates the three LED light modules without increasing their size. As seen on the front, the subtle piano note design emphasizes the deep 3D impact of the light signature.
In addition, various new styling aspects emphasize the new C5 Aircross's beauty and modernity, such as the new 18-inch "Pulsar" alloy wheels in aluminum and glossy black and a very graphic aerodynamic design. Furthermore, the rearview mirror housings are standard on all models in gloss black, and the roof bars are now available in matt black.
The Eclipse Blue body color of the Citroen C5 Aircross is an intense and exquisite blue that shifts from dark blue to black depending on the incidence of light. The Citroen C5 Aircross is also available in polar white, mother-of-pearl white, pearl-nera black, steel gray, and platinum gray, in addition to the new color of blue.
In addition to the outward overhaul, the inside of the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV has been given a more modern appearance, with enhancements in comfort and technology.
The new C5 Aircross now features a new 10-inch touchscreen that seems to float on the dashboard and enhances ergonomics by allowing direct access to temperature controls and improved reading. In addition, the air vents are now located below the screen and feature a new crisp, horizontal appearance. The central console, which is tall and wide, has also been revamped and visually cleaned up. In the hybrid version, the new, tiny and elegant gear selection switch replaces the former huge gear selection lever, and a switch joins it for selecting the driving mode (electric, hybrid, or sport). There is also a new storage compartment and a second supplementary USB port in the middle console.
The Citroen C5 Aircross SUV has the new generation of Citroen Advanced Comfort Seats, which are also available in the Citroen C4 and Citroen C5 X. The seats are comprised of high-density foam in the seat core, an extra 15mm layer of foam, and a specific structure that provides the most refined visual comfort, sitting comfort, and driving comfort. Also, to give even more comfort for the driver and front passenger. Furthermore, the colors and materials have been updated.
