The new MG Marvel R Electric is an intelligent, practical and safe electric SUV

MG Marvel R Electric

MG's evident aim is to make electric mobility accessible to young drivers ready to embrace a new electrified lifestyle. They offer various intelligent, practical, safe, and technologically advanced cars in multiple segments to meet numerous needs.

In addition to the MG EHS rechargeable hybrid, the MG Marvel R Electric is MG's high-tech new second-generation all-electric SUV and the company's second model in the C-SUV market. The Marvel R Electric, on the other hand, is not the same as the MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid. Instead, the Marvel R Electric has a length of 4,674 mm and a wheelbase of 2,804 mm, making it ideal for individuals who desire a big interior with plenty of seating.

The MG Marvel R Electric lifts the standard even higher in terms of style, technology, and appeal. What makes the Marvel R Electric unique is that it not only provides all of the advantages of driving an electric vehicle, but it also combines efficiency with outstanding performance (acceleration of 4.9 seconds from 0-100 km/h and a top speed of 200 km/h) and fun to drive ride and handling. The Marvel R Electric, for example, has an aluminium suspension subframe and elements that are typically found solely in sports vehicles. The frame is more robust as well as lighter.

The top-of-the-line model is described as a desirable 'lifestyle' electric SUV that caters to motorists with higher expectations for looks, luxury, and technology. Aside from its bold and modern outward design, the MG Marvel R Electric features a digital cockpit with a stunning 19.4" touchscreen for controlling the all-new MG iSMART connectivity system.

The comprehensive MG iSMART system includes a wide range of (online) functionalities and a smartphone app that allows for remote control of many services. The system has various online capabilities in addition to DAB+, Bluetooth, USB connection, Wi-Fi internet, and smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Real-time traffic navigation, parking lot search, MG touchpoint search, weather forecast, and Amazon Music streaming music are just a few of the highlights available. In addition, the system may be operated very effortlessly and hands-free thanks to voice control. Furthermore, the MG iSMART system is always up to date thanks to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services and over-the-air firmware.

Vehicle owners can use the app to perform many practical remote operations, including Find My Car, Status Checking, Vehicle Statistics and Health Scan, Vehicle Route Planning, Calendar Synchronization, Charging Management, and MG Touchpoint.

MG keeps its promise of making comfortable electric driving available to the entire population. The same may be said about security. With a comprehensive range of MG Pilot systems, the new MG Marvel R Electric takes another step forward in terms of safety.

MG Pilot encompasses 14 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the MG Marvel R Electric, which warn the driver of potential hazards and intervene if required. This includes technologies that warn you about potential crash hazards and assist you in maintaining traction and stability. ELK (emergency lane keeping) and DWS are new features for the MG Marvel R Electric (drowsiness warning system).

The MG Marvel R Electric SUV not only exudes power but also delivers on that promise. Buyers have the opportunity of choosing between two powerful and innovative drivetrains. The Tri-Motor drivetrain features three electric motors, an all-wheel-drive, 212 kW (288 hp) peak power, and a 370-kilometre range (WLTP). With two electric motors on the back axle, the rear-wheel-drive variant offers a maximum power of 132 kW (180 hp) and a WLTP range of 402 kilometres.

A 70 kWh lithium-ion battery powers both electric SUVs and, thanks to the 11 kW onboard 3-phase charger, can be charged quickly at a public charging station (AC). Fast-charging (DC) is also possible, with the battery filling up to 80% in roughly 40 minutes. Meanwhile, the climate management system, which includes an integrated heat pump, ensures high efficiency even at low temperatures.

The V2L system is another eye-catching feature (vehicle-to-load). This technology enables the lithium-ion battery to power an external electrical system such as an air pump, electric scooter, laptop, or even another BEV.

The MG Marvel R Electric's maximum towing weight is 750 kg. As a result, the car can tow a trailer or caravan, as well as two e-bikes on a customized bicycle carrier. The rear luggage compartment has a volume of 357 litres. It may be raised to 1,396 litres with the back seat folded down. Under the hood, often known as a frunk, the RWD version of the Marvel R Electric offers 150 litres of additional baggage space.
