The independent double-wishbone front suspension features a high-mount design that provides nine inches of total front tire travel for exceptional flexibility over rough roads and obstacles. For further strength and longevity, the four-link trailing-arm rear suspension retains the solid-axle arrangement. The body-on-frame structure ensures robustness and longevity in adverse driving situations, as well as remarkable ride isolation and a towing capacity of 7,000 pounds.

The Lexus LX 570 comes standard with ten airbags, including driver and front passenger knee airbags, front and second-row seat-mounted side airbags in the outboard seating positions, and roll-sensing side curtain airbags that cover the whole third row.
The Lexus LX 570 was the first car in its class to have Active Front Headrests, which move upward and forward in the case of certain low-speed rear-end crashes caused by the occupant's body.
Additionally, the Lexus LX 570 was the first vehicle in its class to offer a Pre-Collision System with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control as an option. The system now includes the next-generation Lexus Enform® Application Suite, which uses the mobile phone technology of consumers to deliver a new level of connectivity and information management. Local searches can be conducted via Bing, or users can use voice-enabled applications to make restaurant reservations via OpenTable, purchase movie tickets via MovieTickets.com, or listen to internet radio stations such as Pandora® or iHeartRadio.
