The new Peugeot e-3008 is available to order from $46,000

Peugeot e-3008

The Peugeot e-3008 is the latest addition to the French automaker’s electric vehicle lineup. It is a fastback SUV that combines a sleek design, a spacious interior, and a long-range battery. The e-3008 is based on the Stellantis group’s new electric platform, which also supports four-wheel drive and plug-in hybrid versions. The Peugeot e-3008 is available to order now in Europe, with deliveries expected to start in early 2024.

Design and features

The Peugeot e-3008 has a distinctive look that sets it apart from other electric SUVs. It has a low and aerodynamic profile, with a sloping rear window and an upturned lip. The front grille curves inwards at the edges, creating a dynamic expression. The headlights and taillights feature the signature Peugeot “three-claw” motif, which is also reflected in the 19-inch or 20-inch wheels.

The Peugeot e-3008 offers a spacious and comfortable cabin with a panoramic sunroof and a large 21-inch touchscreen that runs across the dashboard. The touchscreen serves as both an infotainment system and a driver display and can be customized to show various information and functions. The e-3008 also has a wireless charging pad, a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera.

The e-3008 is equipped with adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and emergency braking. It also has a semi-autonomous driving mode on highways and in traffic jams.

Performance and range

The Peugeot e-3008 is available in three electric powertrain options, each with a different battery size and output. The Standard Range version has a 73 kWh battery and a single front motor that produces 210 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The Standard Range version can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.7 s and has a top speed of 105 mph. It can travel up to 326 miles on a single charge.

The Long Range version has a 98 kWh battery and a single front motor that produces 230 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. The Peugeot e-3008 Long Range can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.9 s and has a top speed of 112 mph. It can travel up to 435 miles on a single charge.

The Dual Motor version has a 98 kWh battery and two motors, one on each axle, that produce a combined 320 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The Peugeot e-3008 can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.4 s and has a top speed of 112 mph. It can travel up to 326 miles on a single charge. It also has an all-wheel drive system that can distribute the power and torque between the front and rear wheels.

The Peugeot e-3008 can be charged using various methods, such as a standard household outlet, a wallbox, or a public fast charger. The e-3008 supports up to 150 kW of DC fast charging, which can replenish 80% of the battery in about 30 minutes. It also has a regenerative braking system, which can recover some of the energy lost during deceleration and braking and store it in the battery.

Price and availability

The Peugeot e-3008 is priced from €40,000 ($46,000) in Europe, which is comparable to other electric SUVs in its segment, such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Kia EV6, and the Volkswagen ID.4. The e-3008 is eligible for various incentives and subsidies in different countries, which can lower the final cost for the customers. The e-3008 is available to order now in Europe, with deliveries expected to start in early 2024. There is no official word on whether the e-3008 will be sold in other markets, such as the United States or China. The Peugeot e-3008 is based on the Peugeot 3008.
