The new Opel Movano is currently available for order

Opel Movano commercial vehicle

The new Opel Movano is currently available for purchase. With the biggest van in its commercial vehicle range and attractive entry-level pricing of 32,580 euros for the diesel version, the manufacturer makes a bold statement to the competitors. Because the new Movano not only establishes class norms in payload, loading volume, and gross vehicle weight, but it is also available for the first time with both powerful and economical diesel engines and as a Movano-e electric van.

The new Movano's design also makes it apparent that it is a robust and durable load carrier. It blends vitality with the highest level of efficiency. As a result, operating costs might are considerably decreased when compared to its predecessor. Movano consumers will save around 20% on maintenance, repair, and tire expenditures over four years, while spending on gasoline will drop by approximately 11%.

Customers want large commercial vehicles to perform a wide range of functions while remaining highly cost-effective. The new Opel Movano is just what you need. Moreover, Opel is certain that the progressive new Movano generation will accelerate the brand's growth.

Opel Movano

The entirely new Opel Movano-e is the German brand's first electric vehicle among big vans. The Opel Movano-e entry-level pricing is 57,990 euros. The new Opel Movano-e LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) offers a genuine alternative to conventionally powered commercial vehicles. It ensures unrestricted passage into the city core while adhering to tougher environmental requirements and emitting zero emissions in the future. The new Opel Movano-e confidently satisfies all of the requirements of everyday labor, with an output of 90 kW / 122 hp (260 Nm).

The new Opel Movano-e van has an electronically regulated max speed of 100 km/h, and it is powered by a battery with 37 kWh or 70 kWh capacity, depending on the model variation and client needs. Depending on driving style and external conditions, the new Opel Movano-e can travel up to 116 km or 247 km without stopping for a charge, according to the WLTP.

In addition to the Opel Movano-e electric commercial vehicle, the diesel-powered variants set benchmarks for fuel economy and reduced CO 2 emissions. The 2.2-liter diesel engines with power ratings ranging from 88 kW / 120 hp to 121 kW / 165 hp fulfill the stringent Euro 6d emissions standards.

The Opel Movano is distinguished by a diverse variety of body variations and high payload capabilities. Customers may order the panel van in four lengths (L1: 4,963 mm; L2: 5,413 mm; L3: 5,998 mm; L4: 6,363 mm) and three heights (H1: 2,254 mm; H2: 2,522 mm; H3: 2,760 mm). The maximum payload volume varies between 8 and 17 cubic meters. The H3 version's doors are 2.03 meters tall, which is a class record. The wing doors with an opening angle of up to 180 degrees (optionally up to 270 degrees) provide an effortless loading from the back.

The regular cabin has enough room for three persons; the optional double cabin has a second row of seats for four more passengers. As a platform chassis with multiple cabin layouts, the Movano broadens the variety of applications. Later on, the Opel Movano commercial vehicle will be offered as a foundation for custom modifications and superstructures ranging from tippers to flatbed trucks to campers.

The new Opel Movano comes equipped with many equipment choices and driver aid technologies, many of which are already standard. For example, every Movano comes standard with practical deep storage compartments in the front doors, and a smartphone holder and a beverages box in the dashboard that is chilled in combination with air conditioning. In addition, the six-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and the double passenger bench with a rotating table and headrests for all passengers contribute to the roomy passenger compartment's comfort.

Depending on the version, the standard driver assistance technologies portfolio comprises automated emergency brake aid, lane assistant, and cruise control. The parking pilot at the back makes it easier to maneuver in city traffic. Blindspot detectors and reversing cameras are also available upon request. The range is completed with automatic air conditioning, electrically adjustable, heated, folding outside mirrors, an anti-theft system, and a trailer coupling.

As the newest Opel commercial vehicle family member, the new Opel Movano joins the Opel Combo and Opel Vivaro. By the end of the year, the brand's commercial vehicle range will be completely electric. By 2024, all passenger and commercial vehicle models will be electrified, and by 2028, Opel will solely sell electric vehicles in its primary European market. @via Opel.
