Notwithstanding the ECO's Ecotec 2.4L motor, the Malibu's North American lineup likewise highlights an all-new Ecotec 2.5L double overhead cam, four-chamber motor with direct infusion. It has new elements, including improved power persistently variable valve timing, variable-relocation oil pump and electronic indoor regulator that spare fuel while conveying V-6-like execution. It is assessed the motor will be SAE guaranteed at more than 190 pull (141 kW) and 180 lb.- ft. of torque (245 Nm).
