Citroen has announced that the new generation Berlingo has reached 200,000 units sold, after the model was launched in September 2018. The new Berlingo is the second best-selling Citroen model worldwide, after the C3. It is available in a "touring" version and in a Berlingo Van utility version.
In 2018, the PSA Peugeot - Citroen Group announced the refresh of the utility range. The new Peugeot Partner, Citroen Berlingo Van, and Opel Combo benefit from the many common elements, including the previously used EMP2 platform for Peugeot Rifter and the Citroen Berlingo version.
Over 60% of the Berlingo sold are in the high-end Feel and Shine finishes, which are also fitted with optional equipment such as the rearview camera with top view. As for the Berlingo Van, 80% of the registered copies have three front seats and the most richly endowed Driver and Worker versions represent a quarter of sales.
In its configuration for passengers, the current Citroen Berlingo is much more civilized. It is offered as a choice with a 110hp petrol engine or 75hp, 100hp and 130hp diesel, and starts at € 21,850.
A real blockbuster for the Citroen brand in Europe, it alone represented 16% of its segment share in 2019 with 2/3 of the registrations on the utility version, Berlingo Van, and 1/3 on the version for individuals, Berlingo. The commercial success of this third-generation Citroen Berlingo thus greatly contributes to the dynamics of Citroën, the brand with the strongest growth among the 12 best-selling manufacturers in Europe in 2019.
With its comfort, its design intelligence, and its driving assistance technologies, this third generation of Berlingo also confirms its power of attraction.
