Honda has presented the Civic Tourer Concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. This Concept is set to be disclosed in Frankfurt this September. This Concept supplies powerful suggestions to the exterior design of the Civic Tourer. Honda has also affirmed that track testing of the new Civic Type R will begin at the Nurburgring in 2013.
The Civic Tourer Concept has a polished, aerodynamic body that creates a fresh, energizing aspect. The Civic Tourer Concept is similar in many ways with the ninth generation Civic hatchback model which was introduced on the market in late 2011. The Civic Tourer Concept sporty design complemented by a smooth cabin style is also present on the Honda Civic hatchback.
The production version will be built in Honda's plant in Swindon, Wiltshire.
