The third generation of the MINI developed under the patronage of the BMW Group gets a new body version, a convertible. The new MINI Convertible is ready to launch in 2016.
The new Mini Convertible's roof provides a mechanism for opening/closing fully automatically and also features a sliding table roof. Designed to be quieter and smoother than that of the previous Mini Convertible, it takes 18 seconds to retract at speeds up to 30 km/h. Trunk volume was increased by approximately 25% up to 215 liters.
The new MINI Cabriolet will be ready in 2016 with three engine options:
Mini Cooper Convertible: from $27,584 - 1.5-litre 3-cyl petrol engine, 134bhp, 55mpg, 114g/km CO2, 0-62mph in 8.8sec
