Skoda presented the Skoda Kamiq as part of the Beijing Auto Show. At 4.39 meters in length, it will be the entry-level SUV for Skoda's largest market starting in July.
The Kamiq is 4.39 meters long, 1.78 meters wide and 1.59 meters high. Therefore, the SUV is an inch longer than the Karoq in Europe and five inches longer than the Karoq in the Chinese market. At 2.61 meters, the wheelbase is two centimeters smaller than the Karoq in Europe.
The Skoda Kamiq is positioned as a low-cost entry-level model in the SUV world, below the Karoq and Kodiaq.
It is powered by a 110-hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which passes its 150 Nm either to a manual 5-speed or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The price of Skoda Kamiq in China should be around 11,500 euros (14,044 US Dollar). For this price, the Chinese customer may be pleased. The Kamiq is likely to hit the bullseye with Chinese customers.
