French company Renault has officially announced that it has begun testing their new SUV that will replace Renault Koleos in Europe. It seems that the French have taken this decision because of weak sales that have registered for this model. Renault will begin selling the new model, the Koleos replacement next year.
The French company has already built in the factory in Korea, four prototypes of his replacement. According to company statements their new model will sit alongside Kadjar and will be more spacious and bigger than this.
Renault is counting on the fact that the new model can be positioned as a premium model and use it as a true declaration of "fashion" French market that could compete with German luxury cars.
Rumor has it the car will measure 5 meters in length, which will be much higher than Kadjar which measures 4.5 meters. Engine variants may include the following engines: 1.6 TCe 150 horsepower and 200 horsepower petrol, 1.5 dCi with 110 horsepower and a 1.6-liter dCi with 130 or 160 horsepower.
