Opel Mokka with engines between 100hp and 130 hp

2020 Opel Mokka

Last June, Opel introduced its new electric SUV, the Opel Mokka-e, and now it publishes the gasoline and diesel engines that will power the conventional range of this new SUV generation. We are talking about a gasoline engine, in two power levels, and a single turbodiesel engine.

Opel Mokka is now 12.5 centimeters shorter than the previous model (4.15 meters), but increases its wheelbase by 2 millimeters and maintains a similar boot capacity (350 liters).

Some of the technology available in the Opel Mokka is the matrix and adaptive LED headlights (IntelluLux), the adaptive cruise control, rearview camera with panoramic view, electric parking brake, the induction charger for mobile phones, the ergonomic seats ( with leather, heating and massage function) and the signal recognition system.

This 2020 Opel Mokka is based on a new version of the PSA Group's CMP platform, which allows a weight reduction of 120 kilograms compared to the previous generation of the model.

The gasoline offer has a 1.2-liter turbocharged, three-cylinder engine, which starts with a version of 100hp and 205 Nm, associated with a six-speed manual gearbox. Above is the 130 hp and 230 Nm variant, available with both manual transmission and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The basic version accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 11 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 182 km / h, while the 130 hp version performs acceleration in 9.2 seconds and reaches 202 km / h.

The only diesel engine available is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, associated with a six-speed manual gearbox. In this case, we are talking about 110 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. Although its features have not been detailed, we know that it incorporates an SCR catalyst, AdBlue injector, NOx trap and diesel particulate filter.
