Ford Fiesta Van EcoBoost Hybrid offers superior engine performance and excellent fuel economy

Ford Fiesta Van EcoBoost Hybrid

The Ford Fiesta Van line-up grows with a new electrified model as the company introduces the EcoBoost Hybrid powertrain to compact van customers. Available from early autumn, Ford’s new Fiesta Van with 48-volt light-hybrid powertrain offers small city van owners and transportation companies highly responsive gasoline engine performance and lower operating costs. Prices will be published later.

Ford’s 125 hp 1.0-litre EcoBoost Hybrid powertrain is an attractive option for customers who want petrol engine driveability and save on fuel consumption. Fuel economy is improved and the full 50 Nm of torque of the electric motor is utilized at low revs. The Fiesta Van EcoBoost Hybrid can also be driven in areas where the use of diesel cars is prohibited. The light hybrid system takes up no space in the Fiesta Van's 1.0 m³ boot, and the car has a payload of 531 kg.

The Ford Fiesta Van EcoBoost (mHEV) 48-volt light hybrid technology is a fuel-efficient and responsive option for small van customers.

The Fiesta Van also features advanced connectivity features and driver assistance technologies to help drivers stay on schedule and avoid costly injuries while working in an urban environment.

The interior of the Fiesta Van EcoBoost light hybrid is well suited for modern commercial use. Drivers who use mobile devices for route planning, delivery tracking and staying up to date will continue to benefit free of charge from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps connected to the SYNC 3 infotainment system. The SYNC 3 system operates on an 8-inch touch screen and can be operated with pinch and touch movements. The SYNC 3 operating system has been revamped and now has larger buttons.

With more powerful BISG, the Fiesta Van EcoBoost light hybrid's Auto-Start-Stop technology is able to operate below 25 kilometres per hour and the car is in gear with the clutch pedal depressed.

The Fiesta Van light hybrid is available for the Trend and Sport models and replaces the 85 hp 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine.

The Fiesta Van EcoBoost light hybrid joins Ford’s extensive range of light commercial hybrid and rechargeable hybrids. Last year, Ford introduced 48-volt light hybrid models for the Transit, Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom.
