The renewal of the i30 range at Hyundai has just taken place. The big news will be the appearance of the double-clutch automatic transmission, much anticipated on a segment where automatic transmissions are increasing.
Hyundai arrived relatively late in the compact sports segment, but the manufacturer stood out with its i30 N. In addition to new assistance systems, the compact model also has a mild hybrid system.
The new Hyundai i30 will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show (March 5 to 15). In addition to a few optical retouches, the facelift includes new drive technology and a number of new assistance systems.

In the future, Hyundai will continue to offer the i30 in the body variants station wagon, hatchback and as a compact five-door. The optically refined N-Line equipment is available for all three.
The interior was upgraded with modified ventilation nozzles, colours and surfaces as well as an optionally available 7-inch digital cockpit. The central touchscreen has grown to a 10.25-inch screen diagonal, and the infotainment system also masters the connectivity standards.
Those who opt for a navigation system can use the telematics services called Bluelink for 5 years. In future, the i30 will offer an inductive charging cradle for charging smartphones. With the appropriate app, the user can also localize his i30 over long distances or, for example, lock and unlock it.

Several motors of the Hyundai i30 are supported by 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. The top units, a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 160 hp and a 1.6-liter diesel with 136 hp. The 48-volt system is optionally available for the 1.0-litre petrol engine with 120 hp. The basic engines, a new 1.5-liter petrol engine with 110 hp and the 1.6-series diesel with 115 hp, must continue to do without hybrid technology.
Hyundai has announced the launch of the new i30 this summer. There is still no information on the prices, which are likely to rise slightly. So far, the entry-level version has cost around 18,000 euros.
