Mazda launched the new Mazda 3 hatchback in several locations around the globe. Hundreds of journalists and bloggers participated in a series of memorable events that took place simultaneously. London, Istanbul and St. Petersburg were chosen (along with New York and Melbourne) for their character and lively style.
The all-new Mazda 3 redesigned hatchback is the third in Mazda's new generation of products that follow both the KODO-Soul of Motion design motif and the SKYACTIV Technologies. New Mazda3 joins the award-winning Mazda CX-5 model and Mazda 6.
Thanks to KODO design, the Mazda 3 suggests stimulating driving at first glimpse. The 3rd generation Mazda 3 features a new Human Machine Interface (HMI) designed with the highest priority placed on driving safety. Mazda has been developed from scratch to be the ultra-efficient vehicle.
Besides KODO design, the new Mazda 3 has a completely redesigned interior for maximum comfort and optimal ergonomics.
The new Mazda3 is also the newest model developed in line with the Sustainable Zoom-Zoom strategy with which Mazda wants to build safe cars that are economical and fun to drive but impressive.

The model includes i-stop, the fastest start-stop system in the world, and i-ELOOP, regenerative braking system from Mazda. The new Mazda 3 is offered with SKYACTIV-G 1.5L, 2.0L and 2.5L gasoline engines and the SKYACTIV-D 2.2L diesel engine. All engines will come with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic.
