Mercedes-Benz C-Class was awarded "Car of the Year 2015". It was a good show for Mercedes-Benz at the New York Auto Show. The German company has received no less than three awards at the ceremony held in the Big Apple.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class was chosen as the best car of an initial list of 24 vehicles. The C-Class, Ford Mustang S550 and Volkswagen Passat B8 were the finalists. Mercedes-Benz was the only automaker who reached the final rounds with five vehicles nominated for five categories. This performance is unprecedented in the 11 years of the "Car of the Year" show.

75 renowned automotive journalists from around the world made up the jury that chose the Mercedes-Benz as the best. Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe was named 'Luxury Car of the Year 2015', while Mercedes-AMG GT took home the award for "the most powerful in the world in 2015".
