One platform, three different models (Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 şi Peugeot 107) on the same assembly plant in the Czech Republic. For the first time, the three brothers are no longer close twins, but their personalities are very different. Toyota Aygo seems detached from a manga cartoon, while Citroen C1 relies on a strange comic shocking headlights look and Peugeot 108 looks the most elegant of all.
Toyota Aygo engine used for the new model is 1.0-liter three-cylinder which develops 69 hp at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 95 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Toyota managed to regulate this engine for optimal performance. The engine is helped enormously with five-speed manual gearbox.
The official average consumption is 4.1 liters / 100 kilometers. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h is a long way, 14.2 seconds. The maximum speed that can be achieved is 160 km / hour.
Inside, the progress made over the first generation is enormous. Simple and effective. All gauges are located on the steering column and steering wheel with the slide when it is adjusted. Unfortunately, steering wheel adjustment can be made only on height, not depth. Rather small trunk access is via the tailgate glass, but well integrated in the design of the new model. The luggage compartment volume is 168 liters only, but it is deep.
The new Toyota Aygo has already been tested by specialists from EuroNCAP according to the latest standards. A complete set of six airbags are offers for the new Toyota Aygo model, plus a number of electronic safety systems (Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-start assist, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Anti-lock Braking System).
