2014 Volvo S60 Polestar - safety and performance

Volvo S60 Polestar 2014

Brand

  • Volvo

Volvo has built a production version of the S60 Polestar concept. Volvo S60 Polestar has 350 hp and the same weight as the T6 R-Design, but accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds. Performance version of the S60 has a 6-cylinder inline T6 2953cc engine. Maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h.

The chassis benefits from Ohlins dampers, upgraded coil springs, reinforced suspension arms and stiffer anti-roll bars. Six-speed automatic transmission that comes equipping this model is a function of launch control, a modified software, which provides more power to the rear wheels and faster gear changes.

The first units will be delivered to customers in the second half of June 2013. Unfortunately for Volvo fans in Europe, the first batch of S60 Polestar go in Australia, where the Swedes will run a pilot program focused on this version.

Matt Braid, Managing Director of Volvo Cars Australia, said: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers the Volvo S60 Polestar, a car more than capable of getting into the thick of the action in this competitive segment of the market."
