The new Skoda Fabia has won the Red Dot Design Award for outstanding product design three times in a row, the first time in 2008 and the most recent time in 2015. As a result, the Fabia is now catching up to the brand's iconic Octavia in its fourth iteration. There have already been 17 product design honors for Skoda automobiles in the well-known design contest. The Skoda Fabia impressed the worldwide judges with its eye-catching design, generous interior space, and overall sense of harmony.
The judges were impressed with the dynamic look and an immense sense of spaciousness. An international panel of specialists evaluates factors including usefulness, ergonomics, and longevity.
"The Red Dot Design Award for the new Skoda Fabia is a rare award and a tremendous reinforcement of our work," says Oliver Stefani, Head of Skoda Design. To the complete team that tirelessly and enthusiastically creates the product identity of our models every day, I would like to thank you. In recent years, our automobiles have consistently delighted the jurors worldwide with their vibrant design, abundant spaciousness, great practicality, and exceptional value for money—a package that our consumers equally admire."
The fourth version of the Skoda Fabia, in addition to the highest amount of room in the sector, has an inspirational design and athletic proportions. The Skoda grille is visible above the headlights, including standard LED technology. Their crystalline structure is based on the crystal glass craftsmanship of Bohemia. To honor Fabia's roots, the front doors include body lines that resemble the distinctive triangle on the Czech flag.
Finally, the Red Dot Design Award expert jury noted that Skoda Fabia's exterior design gives off an athletic yet approachable vibe. In addition, it has a great sense of spaciousness on the inside. The symmetrically designed instrument panel with a free-standing center display and horizontal ornamental strips was used to highlight the vast interior space better.
An international design competition, the Red Dot Design Award, is one of the most prestigious. One hundred and forty-eight jury members representing 23 different countries were involved in the evaluation process and used a variety of criteria to determine whether or not each product passed muster. As a result, an international design award known as the Red Dot Design Award will be handed out for the 67th time in 2022. The Red Dot Design Award Gala in Essen, Germany, on June 20, 2022, will host the formal prize presentation. Last year the winners were Mazda CX-30 and MX-30.
For the 17th time, a 2022 Skoda Fabia IV has earned the renowned quality seal. For the Czech automaker, the first Red Dot Award came with the Skoda Octavia COMBI II in 2006. Furthermore, the MySkoda smartphone app and the digital design system Skoda Flow were the first to collect the prize in Skoda AUTO's Interface & User Experience category, which had previously won four Red Dot Awards in the Brand and Communication Design area.
