Volvo V60 Cross Country is developed for customers who want off road capabilities without sacrificing the qualities of the basic V60 model. Compared to a V60 standard model, Cross Country has a ground clearance increased by 65 millimeters, high profile tires, lower trims for bumpers, side skirts ornaments.

The successful combination of dynamic styling and rugged capability places the V60 Cross Country in a class of its own," said Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President Product Strategy and Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Cars.

On the European market, Volvo V60 Cross Country will provide new D3 engines (136 hp) and D4 (163 hp), while USA market will receive a T5 version, powered by a turbocharged five-cylinder engine developing 250 hp. The basic version of Volvo V60 Cross Country will be front-wheel drive, while the more powerful engines will be offered with all-wheel drive. Volvo V60 Cross Country comes with 18-inch wheels with a new design as standard (19-inch wheels optional).

The Volvo V60 Cross Country model will be commercially available starting in May 2015.
