The new Peugeot 308 will offer two plug-in hybrid powertrains

Peugeot 308

The new Peugeot 308 is the first model of the French brand that uses the new logo and is also the first model to adopt the new refined style. Peugeot targets more sophisticated customers, who are willing to pay extra for a better design, for superior features and, why not, for a more elegant image.

Dynamic, modern and refined, this is how the new 308 could be described. Peugeot has equipped the new model with a range of connection, support and infotainment technologies so that it can compete seamlessly with any premium brand. For example, the Drive Assist 2.0 package, which will be available in a few months, offers the possibility of (semi) autonomous driving.

One of the most anticipated novelties of the new Peugeot 308 is the arrival of two plug-in hybrid engines with ranges of up to 60 km.

The new Peugeot 308 was developed on the EMP2 V3 platform, a platform dedicated to large, premium models within the PSA Group. The new Peugeot 308 is 11 cm longer than its predecessor. The trunk has a capacity of 412 liters and it reaches 1,323 litres with the rear seats folded.

Lenght - 4,367 mm / Width - 1,862 mm / Height - 1,444 mm / Wheelbase - 2,675 mm.

Customers are given the opportunity to choose from sixteen body colors. Olivine Green and Vertigo Blue are the launch colors, and the palette is completed by Elixir Red, Pearl White, Black Pearl Black, and Artense (silver). Wheel sizes start at 16 inches and can reach up to 18 inches.

The Peugeot 308 received daytime running lights with the LED light signature in the form of a lion's fangs.

The new interior concentrates around the center console with the Peugeot i-Cockpit. The new Peugeot 308 has a compact heated steering wheel that integrates sensors capable of detecting the grip of the steering wheel by the driver. The model also has LED ambient light located behind the central console.

The 2021 Peugeot 308 will offer two plug-in hybrid powertrains:

1. HYBRID 225 e-EAT8 combines a 180 hp (132 kW) PureTech gasoline engine and an 81 kW (110 hp) electric motor coupled to the e-EAT8 automatic transmission. In total, the combined maximum power is 225 hp. This version promises up to 59 km of fully electric autonomy.

2. HYBRID 180 e-EAT8 combines a 150 hp (110 kW) PureTech gasoline engine and an 81 kW electric motor coupled to the e-EAT8 automatic transmission. In short, the system produces a combined power of 180 hp. This variant guarantees up to 59 km of 100% electric autonomy.

The new Peugeot 308 is also available with gasoline engines (PureTech 110hp S&S 6v, PureTech 130hp S&S 6v and PureTech 130hp S&S EAT8) and diesel engines (BlueHDi 130hp S&S 6 and BlueHDi 130hp S&S EAT8).
