A first appearance of the new Skoda Fabia MONTE CARLO

Skoda Fabia MONTE CARLO

Skoda Auto presented the new Fabia MONTE CARLO with official design sketches. The sporty lifestyle variant debuted in the second-generation Fabia at the Czech car manufacturer eleven years ago. The MONTE CARLO-typical black elements bring out the more emotional lines and the dynamic proportions of the fourth Fabia generation. Furthermore, Carbon-look materials and red decorative strips set visual accents in the sporty interior.

The exterior illustration of the new Skoda Fabia MONTE CARLO reveals how the specific visual details of this model variant further support the passionate design language and the dynamic appearance of the new Fabia. The frame of the Skoda grille is black, as is the spoiler lip on the specific front apron with a large lower air intake. The diffuser and the graphic letters on the tailgate are painted black, as are the exterior mirror caps, the side skirts, and the rear spoiler. The MONTE CARLO badges adorn the front fenders.

The interior is presented predominantly in black. The modern sports seats have incorporated headrests, and the three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel holds a MONTE CARLO badge. Black stitching adorns the leather covering on the steering wheel rim, the handbrake lever, and the shift lever. Targeted red accents can be found on the seat covers, the horizontal decorative strip on the instrument panel, the center console, and the strikingly designed door handle. The armrests and the instrument panel have a specific carbon look.

Since 2011, dynamic lifestyle compact models at Skoda Auto have been nicknamed MONTE CARLO. They are reminiscent of Skoda's legendary Monte Carlo Rally successes with black body details, a sporty interior, and even more extensive standard equipment. With the second-generation Fabia, this equipment variant found its way into Skoda eleven years ago. In addition to its successor, the Skoda CITIGO, Skoda YETI, and Skoda RAPID SPACEBACK later also received MONTE CARLO versions. Furthermore, Skoda offers the Scala MONTE CARLO and the Kamiq MONTE CARLO and will soon extend the portfolio with the new Skoda Fabia fourth generation.

The MONTE CARLO variants of the Skoda Scala and Skoda Kamiq share numerous black design elements. A glossy black frame surrounds the radiator grille, and parts of the front bumper are also black. The same applies to the exterior mirror caps, side skirts, and the Skoda lettering in individual letters placed in the middle of the tailgate. The rear and rear side windows are dark-tinted (Sunset). A real highlight is the spacious panoramic glass roof. In addition, full LED headlights and full LED rear lights, including animated indicators, are part of the essential equipment for both vehicles. The Scala MONTE CARLO is also adorned with black 17-inch alloy wheels and a black rear spoiler. On request, it can be ordered with 18-inch alloy wheels.

In the interior, the MONTE CARLO variants of Scala and Kamiq are characterized by adaptable sports seats in a unique MONTE CARLO design with integrated headrests. The sports steering wheel is wrapped with perforated leather, including shift paddles in versions with the direct-shift transmission. Like the leather gear knob and handbrake lever, it is decorated with red stitching. The LED ambient lighting sets chic light accents in the vehicle interior. Other equipment features in the interior include the pedals in stainless steel design and decorative elements in carbon look and the Bolero infotainment system including digital radio reception DAB+, Bluetooth hands-free system, and SmartLink. In addition, Skoda uses Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink to quickly and easily connect smartphones to the Scala or Kamiq. The advantage for the driver and his passengers: they can access many of their usual apps directly via the vehicle's eight-inch multi-touch display.

Buyers of the MONTE CARLO versions of Skoda Scala and Skoda Kamiq have a free choice between all engines of the two series - all of them meet the current Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard. The entry-level 1.0-liter petrol engine delivers 70 kW (95 hp). In combination with this TSI, the price list for the Skoda Scala MONTE CARLO starts at 23,000 euros, and the Skoda Kamiq MONTE CARLO starts at 24,000 euros.
