Ford Transit Connect Active with Quaife Grip Control

Ford Transit Connect Active

Ford Transit Connect Active Active models are a success among customers who must both have good accessibility and at the same time appreciate a car that looks even tougher. The new Ford Transit Connect Active is already ready for order. The first models are expected to be delivered in Norway towards the end of the year.

Ford Transit Connect Active is available with Quaife Grip Control. This is a mechanical differential brake that automatically transmits torque to the wheel with the best grip. This means that Transit Connect Active handles gravel roads and other challenging surfaces even better.

The vehicle's electronic stability control has been recalibrated to work even better with the differential brake. Ford has used the same technology in the past to improve the grip and handling of Ford's ST and RS performance models. The system has no influence on either fuel consumption or CO2 emissions.

Ground clearance has also increased for Transit Connect Active, with 24 mm at the front and 9 mm at the rear. This provides better accessibility and a higher seating position in the van.

New Transit Connect comes with roof rails as standard. Unique 5-spoke 17-inch aluminium rims and a very special Activ grill make the van stand out in the crowd.

Transit Connect Active offers exactly the same good space as the standard version. The load volume is 2.9 or 3.6 cubic meters, depending on whether you choose short or long wheelbase. The loading capacity is 897 kg.

The new Ford Transit Connect Active is delivered with Ford's 1.5 litre EcoBlue diesel engine with 120 HP. It is available with both an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Quaife Grip Control is available on the models with manual transmission.

Last month, Ford also launched the Transit Custom in an Active version. There are also Active variants of the popular Focus and Fiesta.
