The latest generation Ford Focus ST five-door is taken to a whole new level with the addition of the Track Pack created by Ford Performance. It takes the model just 5.7 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, and it can reach its top speed of 250 km/h. The Track Pack includes KW Automotive's adjustable coilover suspension, allowing the car's responsiveness dialed in for better track driving. When paired with custom-made alloy wheels, the suspension system shines.
Braking performance is enhanced by the Track Pack's addition of larger 363 mm front brake discs and Brembo calipers. Model-specific tires provide even more assistance in improving grip for snappy handling.
The new Track Pack combines cutting-edge technical components that make the Ford Focus ST model competitive on the track. This car is all about having the most fun possible on the track; therefore, it has an adjustable suspension, powerful brakes, and sticky tires.
As of right now, you may also place an order for a Focus ST Track Pack. Beginning in November, customers may expect to get their first Track Pack-ready vehicles.
The stainless steel shock absorber frames in the coilover suspension system of the Track Pack allow for 12-step adjustment of the spring preload and 16-step adjustment of the rebound; these features were developed in partnership with motorsport professionals at KW Automotive. The Focus ST's suspension responses are adjustable in two ways so that you may tune it to your preferred balance.
Powder-coated springs and shock absorbers operate together. The ride height is reduced by 10 mm compared to a regular Ford Focus ST, and the springs are up to 50% stiffer. Because of this, the vehicle's center of gravity is reduced, and the body leans less during turns, resulting in increased acceleration. Drivers can decrease the ride height by an additional 15 mm via suspension adjustments, provided doing so is legal in their jurisdiction.
The aluminum rim of these flow-shaped 19-inch light alloy wheels is compacted during production to keep its tensile strength and boost its impact resistance. Simultaneously, the use of fewer components results in a lighter rim. As a result, the wheels are 10 percent lighter than regular ones, allowing them to move vertically faster and enhance acceleration, braking, and handling. Track performance is maximized with the addition of custom-made, grip-optimized Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires to go with the wheels.
Brake discs up front measure 340 mm in diameter, an increase of 10% over the 330 mm seen on the basic Ford Focus ST. Long track laps are less likely to result in brake failure thanks to the more oversized front brake discs and Brembo four-piston calipers' increased ability to dissipate heat.
The Ford Focus ST already has a distinct look, but the Track Pack exterior design makes it stand out even more and highlights the vehicle's performance characteristics. The distinctive ST rear spoiler, diffuser, and front bumper wings are all painted in the always spectacular high-gloss Agate Black. These three components optimize grip and stability while negatively impacting aerodynamics.
The Ford Focus ST Track Pack also features a glossy Agate Black coating on its top, front grille, and door mirror covers. The light alloy wheels have the same glossy black finish as the rest of the car, and the brake calipers are a bold red.
Unlike most vehicles, the ST emblems are not outlined in chrome but in a sleek black color. Only ST versions are offered with a choice of exterior colors, which include Agate Black, Fantastic Red, Frozen White, Magnetic, and Mean Green.
Last year, Ford redesigned Focus ST's interior from the ground up. Ford's Performance seats are among these; they're designed to be as supportive and comfortable as possible for racing.
The 13.2-inch center touch screen is just one example of cutting-edge technology; its user-friendly design ensures that drivers are never more than a fingertip away from the data, apps, and settings they require.
The 280 hp at 5,500 rpm and the 420 Nm of torque between 3,000 and 4,000 rpm come from the Focus ST's 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine. This version of the car has an anti-lag twin-scroll turbocharger.
The electronic differential lock (eLSD), throttle response, electric power steering, and electronic stability control (ESC) can all be tailored to the conditions at hand via the vehicle's customizable drive modes. When in Track mode, the ESC system can be used more freely, and the car will respond more quickly, making it ideal for racing.
