Kia has decided to rename the Optima and relaunch this model from 2020 under the name K5. The new fastback sedan was made in collaboration with the three Kia design centers in North America, Europe and South Korea.
The Kia K5 will benefit for the first time from the optional all-wheel drive system (AWD) and the 'Smartstream' petrol engine range.
The range of engines available for the K5 in European markets is likely to include a 2.0-liter MPI engine with 152 hp / 192 Nm, either the 2.0-liter engine with CVVL technology of 160 hp / 196 Nm or the 2.5-liter GDi unit of 194 HP and 246 Nm.
Inside this sedan with a length of 4,905 mm, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is included, which includes the navigation system plus the digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch display.
