The hybrid drive makes the new 2021 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 4 more economical, the all-wheel drive makes it ready for any adventure. The second generation of the 3008 earned special praise for its design five years ago. The facelift builds on this basis and still sets fresh stylistic accents. This is particularly evident in the front design of the SUV with a frameless grille that flows smoothly into the headlights. The vertical air inlets and the pretty spoiler are also eye-catching. Following the current trend, the designers have given the headlights a more aggressive shape.
In addition to the two new colours, Bleu Célèbes and Bleu Vertigo, there are 19-inch San Francisco rims and a black package.
The i-Cockpit brought Peugeot a great sales success, so the designers were careful to develop the interior further. The space is generally good with a luggage compartment of at least 345 litres for the hybrid and 520 litres for the gasoline and diesel models. The headroom is 99 centimetres at the front and 93 centimetres at the rear. Passengers have up to 39 centimetres of legroom on the backseat. The infotainment now works with a 10-inch digital screen.
Peugeot enjoys a high reputation for its driving aids and accordingly, there were further developments in this area. The new 2021 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 4 has a pedestrian recognition system which is particularly noticeable, as it is able to recognize animals as well as people. The system works at distances of up to 250 meters. The lane departure warning system and traffic sign recognition also impress with their reliable operation.
The EMP2 platform on which the Peugeot 3008 is based is not intended for purely electric drives. That is why it is used either with pure combustion engines or with hybrid drives. The hybrid drives are already known from the predecessor and are offered in two performance levels. The hybrid with 225 hp is only available with front-wheel drive, while the 300 hp version comes with an all-wheel drive.
