4 Common Car Problems You May Experience

If you own a car, you know that routine maintenance and annual service appointments are important to help keep your vehicle on the road. However, some problems may occur no matter how hard you try to prevent potential breakdowns and repairs. Here are some of the most common car problems you may experience this year.

Locks

If you have the new keyboard or touch auto locks, you may notice that you can be locked out of your car during a electrically charged storm. If that happens, call an auto locksmith Orlando and have him or her let you into your car. The simple solution to this problem is to park in a covered area during extreme weather storms.

Tires

Severe weather conditions can cause your tire pressure to fluctuate, and objects in the roadway can puncture your tires. Your automobile tires can also age and crack because of outdoor weathering. To help prevent problems with your tires, rotate and balance them when you change your oil.

Batteries

Manufacturers claim that batteries last for up to 50,000 miles or around three years. However, the caveat to that claim is the temperature in the area you live within. If your battery suffers from extreme heat or cold for an extended period, you can be sure the intense weather conditions will damage the life of your battery.

Lights

Warning lights on your console are a common problem that should not be ignored. Whether it is a check engine light, a tire pressure warning, or an oil alert, the problem is often serious by the time your car signals you with a flashing or solid dashboard light.

If you own a car, maintenance is a regular part of that ownership. You can be sure to prevent many problems by staying aware of the signs your vehicle gives you that there may be a problem. You should also consider parking your car out of extreme weather whenever possible.
