Hyundai presents the first images and information about the new Kona SUV

2023 Hyundai Kona

Brand

  • Hyundai

The new Hyundai Kona has been shown to the public. The first pictures and information about the new Hyundai Kona SUV have been released. It is an SUV that gets a complete makeover and will continue to bet on electrification with hybrid (HEV) and all-electric versions.

The brand-new 2023 Hyundai Kona has made a big entrance. Hyundai has shown the first pictures and information about the next generation of its best-selling SUV. The second generation of the Hyundai Kona will keep the same commitment to making the model run on electricity as the first generation.

There are changes in more than how things look or work. The vehicle has also grown or shrunk in size. The new Hyundai Kona has been made into a bigger SUV that is almost as good as the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Let's go into more detail and look at the main parts of a model that will be a European leader.

Just take a quick look at the pictures in this article to see how the outside of the Hyundai Kona has changed significantly. The EV version was used as a starting point for the new generation's design.

The front is completely different now. It looks neat and influential. A strip of LED lights goes all the way across the top. The main optical groups are at the bottom and are set up vertically. The bumper's shape is also attractive. From the side, you can see what this model is all about. Plastic bumpers that match the roof rack to shield the lower body.

At the back, some LED lights are set up the same way as the front lights. The smooth, horizontal light makes the space feel wider. Depending on the version, there are different parts of the design. You can see pixel graphics on the new Hyundai Kona electric car's front grille and back bumper. It also comes with certain tires.

We've already said that the new Hyundai Kona is a bigger SUV. The length of the new model is now 4,355 mm. The new ones are 150 mm longer than the old ones. The width has grown by 25 mm, and the wheelbase has increased by 60 mm.

If we forget about the outside and go inside, we will quickly find ourselves in a comfortable place. When the size of the vehicle changes, it makes the space inside the passenger compartment bigger. The driver's seat is digital and linked to the rest of the car. The two 12.3-inch widescreens work together to give you digital gauges and a "nerve center" for controlling the entertainment system.

The ambient lighting system is also new, and the company says that it improves the user's experience and makes them feel more comfortable. The gear selector for an automatic car is behind the steering wheel. This spot is important for making the central tunnel bigger. Even though no exact number has been given, it is emphasized that the space behind the second row of seats can be used to its fullest.

Hyundai hasn't said much about the car's mechanics, but it has said that the new Hyundai Kona will be available with a thermal engine, a self-recharging hybrid (HEV), and an all-electric motor. We can assume that the 48-volt light hybrid technology (MHEV) will be in the thermal versions, even though we haven't heard anything official about it.

When will it be available for sale? You still have a lot of time to check out the new Kona on European car lots. Hyundai has said that more information will be given in the next few months. As is typical for a South Korean brand, the rest of the information will be released in stages. Prices are unknown right now.
