Ford Capri EV: Sleek Design, Powerful Performance, and Long Range

Ford Capri EV: Sleek Design, Powerful Performance, and Long Range

Ford has revived the iconic Ford Capri, but with a modern twist – as a fully electric crossover coupe. This bold move signals Ford's commitment to electrification while reigniting the passion for a beloved nameplate. The all-new Ford Capri seamlessly blends the sporty soul of a coupe with the practicality of an SUV, offering drivers an exciting and versatile electric vehicle (EV) option.

A Storied Legacy Reborn

The original Ford Capri, produced from 1968 to 1986, was a renowned European sports car admired for its stylish design and spirited performance. The new electric Capri honors this legacy with contemporary design cues that pay homage to the classic model. Expect sleek lines, a sloping roofline, and available vibrant color options like Vivid Yellow and Blue My Mind that echo the Capri's heritage.

Modern Design with Cutting-Edge Technology

The all-electric Ford Capri isn't just a trip down memory lane; it's a technologically advanced EV for the modern driver. The interior boasts a luxurious yet minimalist design, featuring soft-touch materials and sculpted front seats. A prominent feature is the 14.6-inch SYNC Move infotainment system with a unique sliding mechanism that allows for personalized viewing angles. The system offers seamless smartphone integration via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and wireless charging keeps your devices powered on the go.

Power, Performance, and Range

The new Ford Capri comes in two electric powertrain options. The base model features a 77kWh battery that delivers an impressive 390-mile range and supports DC fast charging up to 135kW. The top-of-the-line Capri Premium boasts a 79kWh battery for a 368-mile range and even faster charging at up to 185kW. These ranges make the Capri suitable for long journeys and weekend escapes, ensuring you can explore farther on a single charge.

Practicality Meets Performance

The all-electric Ford Capri isn't just about thrills; it's also designed for everyday practicality. The crossover coupe design offers ample cargo space of up to 572 liters, with a flexible cargo floor for versatile storage solutions. A hidden Private Locker compartment provides a secure space for valuables. For added convenience, the Capri features a mega console in the front armrest that can accommodate even a laptop.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The Ford Capri prioritizes safety with a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These include 12 ultrasonic sensors, 5 cameras, and 3 radars that power features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. These technologies provide peace of mind and a more secure driving experience.
