Hyundai has officially unveiled the new generation of its small hatchback Hyundai i10. The new i10 has the right dimensions for a car for urban travel: 3,670 mm long, 1,680 mm wide, 1,480 mm high and a wheelbase of 2,425 mm. The luggage compartment offers a capacity of 252 liters.
The new Hyundai i10 debuts with just two petrol engines: a 67-hp / 96 Nm 3-liter 3-cylinder unit and an 84-hp / 118 Nm 1.2-liter 4-cylinder engine. The two engines can be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a robotic gearbox with two clutches.
The car interior now has a multimedia system with an eight-inch screen and smartphone support. You can control some functions of the car remotely from a smartphone.
The list of assistance systems includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), High Beam Assist (HBA), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW). The new i10 can be equipped with the device for wireless charging of the phone and a rear-facing camera.
The Hyundai i10 can be ordered in the spring of 2020.
Hyundai will also present the electric concept at the International Auto Show in Frankfurt, which is inspired by the first Hyundai model launched in the 1970s, and represents a symbolic landmark for the future range of electric vehicles.
