The Mazda 3 MPS is one of the most powerful frontwheel drive compacts. The Mazda 3 facelift inherits good pedestrian safety features as well. Its bonnet is made with an energy-absorbing structure at the cowl and fender bracket areas, to help reduce injury when struck. Energyabsorbing foam is used in the bumper beams and energy-absorbing plastic in the bumper's lower section.
