In Eisenach (Germany), the new Opel Grandland gets its first test drive: Opel CEO Uwe Hochgeschurtz and Thuringian Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow were in Eisenach when the German automaker's first flagship SUV rolled off the manufacturing line. The Thuringian facility produced an Opel Grandland Hybrid4 4x4 in Ultimate trim with all-wheel drive and a total system output of 221 kW (300 hp) at the start of series production.

With the new Grandland SUV, Opel continues its electrification goal by providing two plug-in hybrids: The Opel Grandland Hybrid has a system output of 165 kW (224 hp) and a maximum torque of 360 Newton meters. The engine power is sent to the front axle via an eight-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the Opel Grandland Hybrid4 4x4 edition with an extra electric motor on the rear axle has a system output of 221 kW (300 hp) and a formidable 520 Nm of maximum torque.
The new Opel Grandland in the Business Edition includes various state-of-the-art support systems at a competitive starting price of 28,700 euros (including VAT). Front collision warning with automated emergency braking, pedestrian recognition, lane-keeping aid, traffic sign, sleepiness detection, and cruise control with intelligent speed restriction are standard features.
With the new Pure Panel, drivers and passengers may now enjoy a completely digital cockpit environment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make it simple to connect smartphones to infotainment systems. Another standout feature is the adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel light, which has 168 LED components and, like the Night Vision system, is making its debut in the Grandland. Furthermore, the new Grandland shines with the new brand face, the Opel Vizor.
