The new Opel Insignia celebrates its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Opel Insignia 2.0 CDTI is the most effective model in terms of fuel consumption in its class.
During improving the cockpit, the focus has been on three criteria: simple and intuitive use, customization of the infotainment offer, comfort and safety of the driver and passengers.
The new generation of Insignia infotainment system can be controlled via an 8-inch high-resolution display. In addition, the driver can control Insignia next-generation infotainment system with steering wheel controls, now with a new design and a much clear configuration and voice commands. Enhanced voice control can be activated with the push of a button on the steering wheel and can process multiple orders simultaneously.
The new Opel Insignia edition is bigger. Opel engineers have done a lot of improvements to the chassis, including shock absorbers and steering stabilizers, resulting in lower noise and vibrations and a much greater comfort. Opel Insignia offers the choice between three propulsion alternatives: petrol, diesel and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), with powers between 81 kW/110 hp and 239 kW/325 hp.
The new Insignia 2.0 CDTI is the champion of fuel economy. The most powerful diesel unit is the 2.0 BiTurbo CDTI 143 kW/195 hp.
The new Insignia reflects Opel's design philosophy : "sculptural artistry meets German precision".
