Built on a Proven Platform: Renault Master Powers the Entire Line

Renault and Ahorn Camp are shifting expectations in the motorhome market. The new 2025 Ahorn Camp range—entirely built on the fourth-generation Renault Master van—signals a strategic expansion focused on efficiency, safety, and scalability.

This is more than a product refresh. It’s a platform-level update backed by over a decade of collaboration between the two companies. Every vehicle in the new range is built in series by the Erwin Hymer Group, one of Europe’s leading motorhome manufacturers.

Production starts in summer 2025. Availability will roll out across Europe, supported by Ahorn Camp branches and a strong network of Renault Pro+ dealers.

11 New Models: Covering Campervan and Motorhome Buyers

The lineup includes:

  • Nine new motorhomes
  • Two new campervans

These models are tailored to distinct user types:

  • Families needing space and durability
  • First-time buyers looking for value
  • Seasoned travelers seeking updated tech

Each vehicle is built on the same platform, which lowers manufacturing complexity while increasing overall quality.

Powertrain: Blue dCi Diesel and Aerodynamic Gains

Every model in the new Ahorn Camp line uses Renault’s Blue dCi diesel engines, ranging from:

  • 130 hp
  • 145 hp
  • 170 hp

The standout detail here isn’t just power—it’s efficiency. Renault’s Aerovan body design helps lower drag and reduce fuel consumption. Combined with a multi-energy platform, the 2025 Master provides best-in-class fuel efficiency and lower emissions for diesel-based vehicles.

Estimated fuel economy improvement: 5–7% over the previous generation, depending on configuration and load.

Transmission Update: 9-Speed Automatic Adds Smoother Drive

The introduction of a 9-speed automatic transmission option addresses a frequent pain point in this segment: driver fatigue.

Key benefits:

  • Smoother shifts during long hauls
  • Better fuel economy under load
  • Lower NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) compared to older transmissions

This is not just a luxury upgrade. For commercial and travel users, it delivers real operational benefits—especially in hilly terrain or congested zones.

Safety: ADAS and Reinforced Stability as Standard

Safety features on the new Ahorn Camp line include:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Rear-view Camera (OEM Renault unit)
  • Emergency Braking Assist

The reinforced chassis adds structural stability, particularly when cornering with full living loads. The braking system uses an intelligent algorithm to balance weight and road surface input—something usually seen in commercial vehicles, not campervans.

This isn't overengineering. It's essential for a vehicle that can weigh up to 3.5 tons fully loaded.

Interior: Function Over Flash

The new Master cockpit prioritizes driver ergonomics:

  • Redesigned seats for better back support
  • Touchscreen multimedia system
  • Integrated smartphone compatibility

All these systems come standard—not premium package add-ons. Renault knows its core buyers want function, not features they won’t use.

Dealer Support: Built-In Advantage

Every Ahorn Camp vehicle is backed by:

  • 30 Ahorn Camp partner dealerships
  • Renault Pro+ commercial vehicle experts in 20+ countries

This combined support network ensures:

  • Access to replacement parts
  • Skilled technicians
  • Faster service turnarounds

In practice, that translates to less downtime, which matters when your home is on four wheels.

Pricing Strategy: Starts Under $57,000

The base pricing:

  • Campervans from €52,800 (~$56,800)
  • Motorhomes from €58,900 (~$63,400)

That’s aggressive when you compare it to competing models from Fiat or Ford platforms. Ahorn Camp positions itself as a value-first brand, but the product spec says otherwise. You get modern tech, reliable powertrains, and factory-grade production quality—all within budget.

Target Buyers: Three Clear Segments

  1. Budget-conscious families
    • Need reliable travel without added complexity
    • Benefit from the low operating cost of diesel
  2. Vanlife newcomers
    • Want smaller campervans for weekend getaways
    • Appreciate automated transmission and dealer support
  3. Long-haul travelers
    • Prioritize uptime, fuel efficiency, and space
    • Look for trusted chassis + aftermarket service

Each model supports modular living arrangements. Expect layouts with:

  • Rear beds
  • Convertible dining areas
  • Smart storage solutions
  • Dry/wet bathroom options

Timeline and Public Debut

World Premiere: August 29 – September 7 at the Caravan Salon 2025 in Düsseldorf.

Ahorn Camp will preview select models before the event at press-only showings. Initial deliveries will begin Fall 2025 across Europe, starting with Germany.

Expect test drive units at key Ahorn Camp locations and Renault Pro+ centers by late September.

Why It Matters

The 2025 Renault Master–Ahorn Camp range isn’t revolutionary in van design. But it’s exceptional in execution. It takes proven tech and applies it at scale—efficiently, affordably, and reliably.

No over-the-top branding. No out-of-touch luxury features like the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo campervan. Just a modern lineup of motorhomes and campervans that meet real user demands.

Ahorn Camp isn’t chasing awards. It’s delivering dependable travel tools for people who value uptime, fuel savings, and practical comfort.

That’s how you grow market share in today’s vanlife economy. One platform, eleven options, zero gimmicks.
