It's finally official, the Renault Twingo will be available in a 100% electric version this year! It will be baptized Renault Twingo ZE, and obviously takes up the design so appreciated by the small French city car. This Twingo ZE should have excellent sales.
Onboard, there is the Easy Connect system with a large 7 ″ screen integrated into the centre console. The driver has a wide turning radius, and 4.30m is enough to turn around. This version has a 60 kW (82 hp) engine for a maximum torque of 160 Nm, available immediately of course. Renault announces a top speed set at 153 km / h. Note that this Twingo ZE offers various driving modes, which will notably modify the braking system and energy recovery.

On the battery side, Renault has added a 22 kWh battery to its Twingo ZE, enough to allow the vehicle to run for approximately 250 km on a single charge. An “Eco” mode maximizes autonomy, limiting both acceleration and maximum speed. With regard to recharging, on a household outlet (2.3 kW), full recharging requires a little more than 13 hours, compared to just over an hour on a 22 kW terminal.
Certainly, Renault will take advantage of the Geneva Motor Show in early March to proudly exhibit this Twingo ZE to the general public. We are now waiting to know its availability date and its price.
