The all-new Skoda Enyaq RS iV is exciting, practical, and environmentally friendly

The all-new Skoda Enyaq RS iV is exciting, practical, and environmentally friendly

In addition to the Enyaq COUPE RS iV, Skoda AUTO is adding a second all-electric model to its sporty RS family with the new top variant of the battery-electric SUV: the all-new Skoda Enyaq RS iV. The Czech automaker is ramping up its electrified push with this approach. By the year 2026, there will be three additional all-new e-models on the market. The plan is to increase the BEV share of deliveries in Europe to more than 70% by 2030, offering a whole spectrum of electric vehicles from compact cars to 7-seater SUVs.

The Skoda Enyaq RS iV, like the coupe, is powered by two electric motors and all-wheel drive; the system output is 220 kW, and the vehicle can go more than 500 kilometers on a single charge using the WLTP cycle. Even quicker charging is possible at suitable charging points with a maximum charging capability of 135 kW. Skoda has added two new option packages, Advanced and Maxx, to the Enyaq RS iV's already well-defined lineup, complementing the RS Lounge and RS Suite Design Selections and the extensive standard and safety features. The Skoda Enyaq RS iV, made in the Czech Republic, features considerable use of recyclable and recycled materials.

The new Skoda Enyaq RS iV is Skoda's second all-electric RS vehicle. The SUV shares the same dynamic, expressive styling as the Skoda Enyaq COUPE RS iV and is equipped with the most potent drivetrain in Skoda's current lineup of vehicles. A total of 220 kW comes from the two electric motors—one mounted up front and the other in the back—with a maximum torque of 460 Nm going to all four wheels via all-wheel drive. Compared to the other Enyaq iV models, its top speed of 180 km/h is 20 km/h quicker. Combining an 82-kWh battery with exceptional energy efficiency and an outstanding drag coefficient allows for a maximum range of nearly 500 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.

With its spacious interior and outstanding handling, the Skoda Enyaq RS iV is a great daily car. It comes standard with sports suspension, progressive steering, and all-wheel drive. Plenty of legroom, especially in the back, is guaranteed by the Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) of the Volkswagen Group, thanks to features like the absence of a center tunnel and a long wheelbase of 2,768 millimeters. A maximum of 1,710 liters of storage is available when the back seats are folded down from their upright position, expanding the trunk capacity from 585 liters. Skoda's main facility in Mladá Boleslav produces Enyaq iV family models, making it the sole European production base outside of Germany to make MEB vehicles.

Since the Skoda Enyaq iV is continually connected to the internet, it may receive software upgrades remotely. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is just one of many car features that can be utilized on demand. Furthermore, several Skoda Connect services are tailored toward EVs. All of Skoda's current safety features, including up to nine airbags, are available for the Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV, making it a safe and secure option for families. New features have been added to Travel Assist, such as Urban Evasive Steering Support, which helps drivers avoid accidents by detecting obstacles in the road, like parked cars, road construction, traffic islands, and crossroads.

The new Skoda Enyaq RS iV is part of the Skoda iV ecosystem, which means its drivers will have access to over 400,000 charging locations across Europe with a single POWERPASS card. This includes around five thousand fast charging sites and approximately fifteen thousand fast charging points. Compatibility with charging stations with a 135 kW capacity allows for even quicker charging times. The Skoda Enyaq RS iV can also be charged without a card using the new "Plug & Charge" capability at designated charging stations. Skoda AUTO provides three variations of their Skoda iV Charger Wallboxes for easy at-home charging; installation is available upon request. Numerous perks, such as tax breaks, financial bonuses, access to dedicated bus and environmental lanes, free parking in downtown areas, and unlimited use of local public transportation, are available to drivers of electric vehicles in countries where such policies are in place.
