It is now a tradition at Skoda that the students of the Skoda vocational school deliver a special project every year. This year, Skoda Academy created Slavia, a roadster inspired by the 1100 Sport prototype from 1957, which embodied a perfect sportswoman. Slavia is built on the platform of the Scala compact hatchback, but from a stylistic point of view, only the front part has similarities with the production model.
31 students, including five girls, worked on the project, with the car being designed, designed and built by the students - supported by professionals from the various specialist departments.
Strong changes have been made from the A-pillar to the rear: Skoda Slavia has only two doors and two seats, and it completely lacks a roof. The space gained by removing the seat is used to accommodate two foldable electric scooters.
Inside come with sports seats and a powerful audio system (the subwoofer has 2,250 watts). Both the seats and other interior surfaces are upholstered in leather.
Another special feature of the Skoda trainee is the ambient light behind the 20-inch alloy wheels borrowed from the Kodiaq RS, which makes the wheels shine in blue, red or white from behind. The braking system was taken from the Octavia RS.

Under the hood, Skoda Slavia uses the 1.5-litre TSI engine with 150 horsepower, coupled to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG transmission.

Skoda makes no mention of performance, but this detail is irrelevant in the case of a design study, one that we will not see anywhere else but in the Skoda Museum. The concept is unique.
