The new Volkswagen Caddy California from 41,800 euros

The new Volkswagen Caddy California from 41,800 euros

The new Volkswagen Caddy California is based on the fifth generation of the VW Caddy series and is the first to be built on the MQB platform. The new Caddy California comes in two sizes, Caddy California with a length of 4,501 mm and Caddy Maxi California with a length of 4,853 mm.

The rear section of the interior impresses with smart camping equipment that has been thought through down to the smallest detail. This applies to the new fold-out bed and a high-quality mattress that offers magnificent sleeping comfort. With the dimensions 1,980 x 1,070 mm, the bed is well-dimensioned and can accommodate comfortably two adults. Folded together, the bed only takes up a third of its length so that it can be stored in the luggage compartment. When the bed is used, the rear seat can be quickly removed and taken out of the car, so you get additional storage space.

Located on the left side of the luggage compartment, you have a kitchen that can be pulled out so you can stand and cook under the tailgate. The top of the kitchen region has a gas burner, while the bottom has an unfoldable cutting board and drawers for kitchen accessories.

The new Volkswagen Caddy California can be equipped with a 1.4 m2 panoramic sunroof, which brings extra light into the interior during the day. All windows can be blinded with curtains when it's time to rest. In the sleeping section, LED spots that can be adjusted in brightness, and the same type of lights are mounted on the inside of the tailgate to provide lighting then cooking after dark.

The new Volkswagen Caddy California has some of the latest TDI diesel engines with 102 hp or 122 hp. In addition to the TDI diesel engines, the VW Caddy California is offered with a 1.5 TSI petrol engine that delivers 114 hp and 220 Nm.
