Audi Q5 55 TFSI e quattro with plug-in hybrid powertrain 367 hp

The Q5 55 TFSI e quattro is the first representative of the new Audi plug-in hybrid after the e-tron Sportback has been discontinued. Also for A6, A7 and A8 plug-in hybrid systems have been announced.

The new powertrain consists of a 2.0 TFSI with 252 hp and 370 Newton meters of torque and an electric motor with 143 hp (105 kW) peak power and 350 Newton meters of peak torque. The electric motor is integrated with the separating clutch in the seven-speed S-tronic.

The plug-in hybrid SUV has a system output of 367 hp and a total torque of 500 Newton-meters already at 1,250 rev / min, so just above the idle speed. The sprint to 100 km takes 5.3 seconds, the peak is 239 km / h. The electrical range in the WLTP cycle is more than 40 kilometers. The maximum speed in electric operation of 135 km / h is suitable for the highway. The plug-in hybrid system should be built as well as the A7 55 TFSI e.

The lithium-ion battery (14.1 kWh, 381 volts) is located under the luggage compartment floor. Its cooling circuit is linked to the refrigerant circuit of the air conditioning system, which also integrates the electric motor and the power electronics. The air conditioning system works with a heat pump that uses the waste heat from the high-voltage components.

The Q5 55 TFSI e combines ultra-four-wheel drive with an electric motor for the first time. The driver can influence the interaction of the two engines via three operating modes: Hybrid, EV and Battery-Hold. The EV mode is the startup mode.

The standard equipment of the Audi Q5 55 TFSI e includes LED headlights, sport seats, three-zone automatic climate control, comfort key, FIS with color display and 18-inch wheels. The rear seats can be adjusted longitudinally and in the backrest angle.
